I can…ONLY imagine!

We are currently traveling back from a glorious birthday weekend with my side of our wonderful family. The Lord has truly blessed Mike and me with an amazing family on both sides.¬† The Taylor clan and the Newsom clan are collectively the best group of people ever! I am biased but I would venture to say others would say the same. ūüôā¬† Thank you Lord for surrounding my with people who love me unconditionally and make me a better person!!! (Thanks to my niece Lane we had amazing photos taken of the Taylor side in Indy by Courtney Venable….it was GREAT fun!)

Now to the real reason for this post…as we are driving down the interstate we are listening to Christian music.¬† Mike and I both are listening and singing along.¬† (For those of you who have heard both of us sing…you know HE is way better and I need to be listening and not singing. LOL!) ¬†I CAN ONLY IMAGINE just played.¬† What a powerful song!!!¬† I will NEVER forget the first time I heard this song!

What is so fitting for God’s timing in letting me hear and remember this is that I heard it first on a long run when I hadn’t been running long.  I was doing a long training run around White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas.  I was training for my first marathon.  At that time I was overtaken with emotion thinking about how I will respond when I meet our Lord and Savior.  I remember praising HIM with every step and being in awe of His saving grace when in NO way I deserved it!!

Never did I dream that some 13 years later I would be approaching my 9th marathon and it would be Boston.  I could truly only imagine that then.  Now, He has made it reality! As tears fill my eyes now, my emotion is real and raw.  God loves us so much He wants to show us things we can only imagine. He wants to help us live for Him in a way that glorifies Him and brings us joy! WOW!

Why me?? Why now??? Age? Wisdom? Faith? Commitment? Failure? Hard work? Hard ache? It is a combination of them all. I can honestly tell you that I do not want to do it any other way!!! He is the way. He is the truth.  He is the light! He is LIFE!!!!  The ups and downs of life are doable because He is ALWAYS by my side!!! He is a friend of mine!!! (another song playing now!)

The Lord knew 13+ years ago He would be leading on this journey.  He knew He would be paving the way for me to run and use running as a huge part of my testimony.  He knew I would have heartache and success along the way.  He knew I would be running Boston once and now twice.  He knew He would be taking a non-athlete to heights only HE could take reach.  I am in NO way a natural.  He gives me a drive that truly comes from Him.  He gives me the desire to finish what I started and finish well!

1 Corinthians 9.24

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way to get the prize. 

2 Timothy 4.7 

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

As Casting Crowns sings, ‚ÄúYou are already there!‚Ä̬† He goes before us. ¬†He is paving the way from Hopkinton to Boston. He knows what will happen on April 15. He is waiting!

Deuteronomy 31.8

the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. 

Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

He knows what April 15, 2013 holds.  He knows how He will use it for His glory.  My prayer is that I stay true to Him and give it right back to Him every step of the way!!!  This brings me comfort and confidence as I prepare to taper this week and physically and mentally prepare for the big day.

Over this next week, my goal is to immerse myself in Him and truly praise him over the 26 easy miles that lead me to HIS 26.2 on April 15.  Will you join me? Will you help me pray that He keeps me injury free, that He leads me every step of the way and that He helps me run for Him?  God is so good! All things truly work together.  Because of HIM I run! Running Blessed!!!

And we know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him,

who have been called according to HIS purpose.

Runner’s Passport – I am all in! Are you ALL IN?


Three weeks from today is the BIG day! I am all in for Boston. ¬†As I think about the phrases – ALL IN and Runner Passport – I think about what that means to me. ¬†It means I will be taking part of the big dance on April 15 in Boston – the 2013 Boston Marathon. Wow! How exciting! I know I have done it before…but it is all so new once again. ūüôā ¬†I love it!

It also has me thinking about my salvation. ¬†It reminds me of the BIG day – the day I became part of our Lord’s family – June 11, 1978. ¬†This is the day I received the most important passport ever – my passport to eternity. ¬†At the age of 9 I could say “I am ALL IN!” Now that’s exciting.

The best part about this passport is that anyone can be ALL IN. ¬†You don’t have to qualify. ¬†You don’t have to train by running 60 miles a week. ¬†All you have to do is say “YES, Lord, YES! I believe you are my Lord and Savior and I want you in my heart. I have sinned and I know you died for me and by GRACE you have saved me.” ¬† ¬†God loves us! He wants us to have the JOY that surpasses any joy we could have on this earth!

1 John 5:11-13

11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.13 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.

Boston is exciting for me…a dream that once was thought unattainable…now a reality! But eternal life is even more so…EXCITING doesn’t even touch it! ¬†Earlier today I posted this in response to the amount of mileage I am putting in during this point of my training (55-60 miles a week):

Anyone of you could do it…I have NO doubt…it is about a goal and a dream. The author is our Lord and He helps you do things we could only imagine…¬†He is helping me fly.¬†¬†I started with one foot…1 step and 1 mile at a time.

He can help you do anything…He is our Savior. ¬†He is the one that can help you be ALL IN! He can give you a passport to eternity…All you have to do is have faith and believe!

This post is dedicated to my father, Frank Taylor.  Today is his 76th birthday.  He, along with my mom, showed us what it meant to live a life with Christ.  His devotion to the Lord and his life serving others for Christ is one I want to emulate.  Thank you dad for introducing me to Christ and helping me understand what it means to be ALL IN with Christ. LYNMW!

Let HIS teaching fall like rain…


Deuteronomy 28:12
The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.

Deuteronomy 32:2
Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

Today I ran in the rain. The pouring down rain. ¬†The wet rain. The cleansing rain. ¬†I stomped in water puddles. ¬†I watched the water flow down creeks that I didn’t know were there. ¬†I listened to the rain as it hit the ground. I listened to the water run in the creeks through the woods. ¬†I watched rain drip off my hat like tear drops. ¬†It was magical. ¬†I felt alive. I was alive. God blessed me with a cleansing rain.

The Lord let His heavens open and the storehouse of His bounty flowed down…He blessed my run with His beauty! ¬†My running is my work for Him. ¬†He is providing the journey to Boston once again and I have to do the work. ¬†Today it was wet but it was eye-opening and sense heightening.

Many people choose not to run in the rain, snow, cold or dark…but in my opinion,for what it’s worth, they are missing out! As long as you have the right gear…rain, reflective…then these runs can be the BEST ever! ¬†Your senses are alive in ways they are normally not. You see things you might not normally notice. ¬†You hear in a different way.

The Lord teaches on these runs. He allows me to hear Him and see Him in the beauty of his bounty – today it was the rain.

What can you do to step outside your normal routine and see Him and hear Him in a different way?  Do it and let His teaching fall on you like RAIN!

RACE REPORT….The Hot Chocolate 15k/5k in Atlanta



This picture was on Facebook today. ¬†It is a perfect picture or yesterday’s race in Atlanta. ¬†We were Road Warriors yesterday in the hills of Atlanta. ¬†(This may be my first and last race in Atlanta…During the race I saw several shirts that read Heat, Hills, Humidity…Welcome to Atlanta! AMEN! ūüôā

I approached this race as a training run. The schedule called for a long run of 12 miles at a moderate pace Р915.  I decided to go with how I felt and add a few miles running others in after my race.  The race was a 15k or 9.3 miles.  Running others in would help me get my 12.  As in fact it did.

How did it go? Really well. ¬†Despite the hills, I felt great! I ran well! My Garmin reported 9.45 miles with a 8:20 pace. I am so excited because I can tell my training is paying off. The speed work and the tempo runs are working. As much as I hate them, they are working. ūüôā The time on my feet during my easy run are bringing JOY to my runs. ¬†My new running form is helping me praise HIM as well as keeping me from running with chicken wings. ¬†God is showing up every run. ¬†He is showing His hand through the beauty around me, with the friends who encourage me, ¬†through the family who support me, with the strangers who inquire about Team Hoyt, with the strength He is giving me on every run and with proof the plan is working.

God gives us direction.  God leads our steps.

Proverbs 20.24

A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?

Let Him lead you today!!!


SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST:  One VERY important thing about this race is that it supported the Ronald McDonald House.  The Ronald McDonald House Charity is very close to the Newsom family.  It has been a home away from home for my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their children as their oldest son has and is still dealing with Aplastic Anemia.  The RMH in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was their safe haven as he went through treatment and is available if and when they have to return.  My nephew is still fighting and he is showing all of us how the hills of life can be turned into joy.  I think I can safely say, we have learned A LOT from our nephew.  He is an amazing young man who loves the Lord and is using his circumstances to make a difference for others! Thanks, Connor for being such a pillar of strength for us. We love you and are praying for you daily!!! You are a warrior! Keep fighting!!!

2012 blessings in photos…

2 Corinthians 3.17-18 ¬†Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ¬†And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever‚ÄĎincreasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

As every year passes I grow more and more aware of God’s plan for me on this earth – to reflect His glory. ¬†As I reflect on 2012 I am reminded of the many blessings the Lord has bestowed on me. ¬†This blog will be very similar to my Thanksgiving blog, but it will be a 12 month photo journey of 2012. ¬†The idea was taken from my niece Lane Lewis who is a VERY talented photographer. Boston Entry received!



The road before me in 2012 was the answered prayer of running the Boston Marathon with Team Hoyt.  I was living my dream and the Lord was providing the DAY and the way!

Psalm 37.23 If the¬†Lord¬†delights in a man’s way,¬†he makes his steps firm;¬†though he stumble, he will not fall,¬†for the¬†Lord¬†upholds him with his hand.


Scenic City Half Marathon – My number one fan is always cheering me on NO matter what mess I find myself in. ūüôā ¬†I have been told I don’t sit down for long and I’m ALWAYS into something…no, not me. ūüėČ ¬†My blessings continue daily with this God-given man…my husband. ūüôā

As I reflect on the blessings of 2012, I am humbled by God’s grace and provision. ¬†We are seeing Mike’s God-given dream come to fruition and I have seen my running talent take off once I turned it over to HIM. ¬†Our family and friends continue to bless us and complete us. We are so very thankful for everyone in our lives and how each of you have blessed our lives in 2012! We look forward to following the Lord’s lead in 2013!

The ? of the month…

When I got up this morning, it dawned on me that it was one year ago today that I ran my Boston qualifying run in Tupelo, Mississippi. ¬†Wow, how time flies! A lot has happened in the last year. ¬†Many prayers have been answered while we are waiting on the answer to others. ¬†We have gone from being parents to being in-laws and grandparents. I have gone from being a recreational runner to being a Boston Qualifier to being a Boston Marathon finisher. ¬†Mike has gone from working for someone to working for himself. ¬†We have seen many, many blessings throughout this crazy year. It has been a roller coaster…a fun one for sure.

Now, I am to that time of year where I need to start thinking…do I run Boston again or not? ¬†This is the question I am currently bouncing through my head. ¬†Many of you have asked me this very question over the past few weeks. ¬†Currently, I am in the process of praying for and awaiting the answer. With that being said, God has been speaking and I am trying to ¬†listen.

Today our pastor preached a sermon titled:  The Mystery of Unanswered Prayers.  His points could have been tied to my first Boston journey.  They paralleled each other. He showed us this mystery of unanswered prayers with the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth in Luke 1.5-17.  How the Lord provided in a way they may not have understood but in a way that brought glory to His name.  He discussed how sometimes our prayers are denied or delayed.  Boston was denied and delayed in June during my first attempt at qualifying.  Why? Because God always answers our prayers in the way that brings Him the greatest glory!

The greatest glory for HIM came from the journey He provided to Boston with my team-Team Hoyt. Then He supplied me with another team of running angels here in TN and around the nation who prayed for me as I fundraised and as I trained. ¬†What an incredible experience…which many of you have been a part of or have read about. ¬†Now, do I do it again?

Well, yesterday I asked a great friend to pray specifically for me as I try to discern what HIS will is for this situation…not my own. ¬†I asked for a very clear open door or closed-door. ūüôā ¬†I need the handwriting on the wall. ¬†So, this morning Mike and I walked to the mailbox. ¬†We forget to check it occasionally. ūüėČ ¬†So, today, on Sunday, we checked it. ¬†And what do I find???

It was great fun looking through ¬†it and reliving the memories. ¬†Team Hoyt was highlighted on page 8. ¬†What an awesome memory!!! ¬†With the book, I also had my Finisher’s Certificate…my official certificate…woo hoo! I am a Boston Marathon Finisher! As I stated at the beginning, God has answered many prayers. ¬†Boston was a HUGE one…one I really didn’t realize for a long time.

Now, to 2013…Boston or not? My answer is in His hands. ¬†I want to be right smack in the middle of HIS will! I want glory to come to His name. ¬†If doing Boston with Team Hoyt again is going to glorify Him and be part of His will, I am totally in! Now to read His word, pray and search for His peace. ¬†We are still¬†waiting on news from Team Hoyt as well…that may be the answered door I am waiting on. ¬†They were allowed 30 charity spots last year because of it being the 30th running of the marathon for the incredible team. ¬†They may not receive as many spots this year. ¬†So, will you pray I hear and I know beyond a shadow of doubt whether Boston is His plan or not? ¬†Thanks in advance! ūüôā

God Builds Faith by Giving a Dream

Hi! It has been awhile since my last post…to say the least. ūüôā Not sure why…other than life got busy and running stopped due to recovery and lack of desire. ¬†God was working in different ways. ¬†Quiet time is good. ¬†Idle time is not. ūüôā ¬†He is always working…isn’t He?

13 Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also busybodies who talk nonsense, saying things they ought not to.

1 Timothy 5.13

I am sitting outside taking in my wonderful surroundings. ¬†It is a peaceful place. ¬†I have lots of time to reflect and thank God for His many wonderful blessings. ¬†I have had a lot over the last couple of months as you know…a grand baby, a daughter-in-law and a new pet…a donkey named Casper. Now to my running…Last week was my first real week of running. I have done a 5k and an 8k too. ¬†They were FUN runs. My physical and mental recovery took longer than I anticipated. ¬†My legs were so sore…I guess from the downhill running. ¬†I felt recovered after about 15 days and tried to go after it again. ¬†The next day I felt like I had run another marathon. ¬†It was discouraging. ¬†My mind was sore too. ¬†God had given me a dream. ¬†He had fulfilled it. Now what? ¬†I know these feelings are normal. ¬†So, through the help of my running angels I got back on the road again. My mind is back and my running legs are getting there. Praise the Lord!

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps

It is great to be back. ¬†ūüôā My dream of Boston has now been fulfilled. We are on to the next mailbox….Mike’s shop. Here is what the Lord spoke to me about today through my devotional. The first part is a thank you to my running angels for their prayers.

Good Morning…It is so awesome to watch God work!!! I wanted to share my devotional this morning. I thought of OUR journey to Boston when I read it because it describes that journey perfectly. THEN, I thought about the prayer request I asked for on Saturday morning for Mike and his desire to want to go out on his own with his job. God tapped me on the shoulder with this reading today. God also had Mike call me at the moment I was finishing a text to him telling him I had just sent the devotional to him by email. Thanks for your prayers because the Lord started tapping on Mike’s shoulder long ago but He start pounding again on Sunday during Sunday School, church and with friends. We love y’all and thank you for being prayer warriors!!!

God Builds Faith by Giving a Dream…When God wants to work in your life, he’ll always gives you a dream – about yourself, about what he wants you to do, about how he’s going to use your life to impact the world.

There are many examples in the Bible of this — God gave Noah the dream of building an ark. God gave Abraham the dream of being the father of a great nation. God gave Nehemiah the dream of building the wall around Jerusalem.

How do you know when a dream is from God or when it’s just something you’ve thought up yourself? The Bible tells us that God, “by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of – infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” (Ephesians 3:20 LB)

In other words, if a dream comes from God, it will be so big in your life that you can’t do it on your own. It also will never contradict His Word! If your dream is something that the Bible speaks against, it’s not from God.

He may be speaking to you now, but you just don’t recognize it for what it is. That dream you have – the idea, the concept – that thing you’ve been thinking about doing and would be of real benefit to other people, where do you think that idea came from?

Let this God-given journey continue…

Our God-given journey continues…We have been blessed to see God’s hand in all things around leading up to this point in time. ¬†God blessed us with our amazing granddaughter yesterday morning. She is perfect. ¬†Mom, dad and baby are doing awesome. ¬†I will carry a picture of her with me as I run as one more example of God’s faithfulness. ¬†We are truly blessed.

As we head out to Boston tomorrow many of you have asked how to keep track of us and the incredible weekend. ¬†There are several ways…

One week from today…

Boston 2012 ~ The Hoyt’s and the Old North Church

Today, as I think about this journey coming full circle РI am humbled, thankful, awed and joyful! The Lord provided a way to Boston. This is His doing. Because of His unfailing love, He answered my prayer in a way I could not have ever dreamed of myself.  He did it bigger and better than my mind could fathom.

During our Easter service yesterday they played a video for the Annie Armstrong for North American Missions. ¬†One of the new believers said, “My testimony, is God’s story which is HIS glory!” Amen! This Boston story is my testimony, God’s story for HIS glory! Below you will find a scripture roll of what I am going to call my Boston Bible Beliefs…(my Bible is a journal…I write dates and life references next to scriptures…these are the verses I have noted over the past year.) ¬†My journey to Boston officially started April 13, 2011 when I registered to run the San Diego Rock ‘n Roll Marathon…the Lord will now bring it full circle on April 16, 2012. ¬†What a fun, crazy ride it has been!!!

Psalms 145.18-19  

“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.”

Habakkuk 2.2-3

Then the LORD answered me and said,

What Faith Can Do…

As I prepared to run my 20 miler this morning, I had a lot going through my mind. ¬†There was a lot going through my brain before and during the run. ¬†When you have 20 miles to run alone…things creep in telling you, you can’t do it. ¬†If you aren’t careful, you start to believe it. ¬†So, I tried to figure out how I could run with friends. My body said no. ¬†Tired legs, tired spirit needed extra sleep. ¬†Extra sleep won out. ¬†But, resting an extra day also put the run off one more day. One more day gave me more time to contemplate 20 miles even longer. ¬†This time it was a good thing. God showed me YES, I CAN even alone…b/c I wasn’t alone, I was with HIM! ¬†I started feeling good about the run. ¬†I anticipated it and turned my thinking into positive. It was going to be a great run. And it was!

Thankfully, I did have friends meet me to start the run.  We started with a prayer and off we went. They were there for moral/prayer support.  I needed it.  As I took off, I knew I would be on my own.  It was  a cool morning after the stormy night.  Great day to run.

My plan…run 7 or so miles from the dam along the Riverwalk to Coolidge Park. ¬†Run a 5k race. ¬†Then run 10 miles back to the car. ¬†It helped tremendously to have a place to be in the middle of the run. ¬†It also was helpful to know I had to be there at a certain time…I needed to keep a pace to make it. I did.

Once I got there…I waited maybe 5 minutes and ran into some more friends. We chatted and then the race started. ¬†Now, remember I had 10 more miles to run back to the car…so this was not a race for me but a run. Cool thing was…I ended up coming in 2nd place in my age group not even trying. ūüôā Love it! Crazy!

During the run and specifically the 5k, the song below played several times. (when you are out there for 3 hours you hear songs several times…or maybe God just knew I needed to hear it.) ¬†Tears filled my eyes a couple of times as I listened to the lyrics. ¬†This song describes my journey to Boston…and my life verse:

I needed this today. I needed a reminder of who God is and how powerful He is! The sky looked like it was falling at times. I felt I could see the silver lining…then I realized I was living the silver lining. ¬†God is sooo good. He is good all the time! ¬†God helped me every step of the way. My run was GREAT! I felt like I could go on and on and on. ¬†(that is how you want to feel after long mileage!!!)

God brought me here. He is not going to let me step on the road leading to Boston and not be ready. ¬†He has helped my broken heart become brand new. ¬†He gave me the strength to rise. ¬†He gave me a team to get me through!!! ¬†I have a team here and a team there…awesome. ¬†God keeps His promises.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,‚ÄĚ says the Lord. ‚ÄúThey are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

He knew I would be in Boston.  He gave me the hope.  He gave me the desire.

This week I read the following scripture…it helped me as I ran today. I took part in His divine nature.

2 Peter 1:4

And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

Then when I was resting at home He allowed me to do it again…

He delivered this week in ways I needed…as He promised. These scriptures sum it all up.

  • I needed REST – He provided.

Matthew 11:28-29

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

  • I needed strength – He provided.

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

  • I needed success – He gave me an incredible run mentally and physically!

Philippians 4:19

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

God is faithful…just look what FAITH can do!!!

God is in the details…

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

We have 2 days until race day and I can’t sleep. I wonder why? It is because I am so excited to see this through to the very end! God has been in every single detail and made things happen I could have NEVER imagined! We have presented our requests to God and boy, has He answered. ¬†This has been a faith journey for sure!!! My dad sent me a short note yesterday and in it he wrote…”Faith and work; work and faith…Both go hand in hand!” ¬†That sums up our journey. My team of running angels and I have been working hard as well as trusting Him to pave the way…and HE has!

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.    Ephesians 3:20,21

I have seen Him work many times. ¬†But this journey has truly been unique. ¬†The amount of things that have come together out of NO WHERE have been incredible…even mind boggling. ¬†I hope I have been able to truly capture them all! Here are the updates to many of these blessings I listed earlier with a few new additions:

  • Run with Trish 5k for Team Hoyt – so many things happening here!!!
  • 1st – Run for God Finish Line – Check it out…

We get to run under that praising God every step of the way!!! When God does it…He does it right!!!

2nd – Our t-shirts made it…and by the looks of it we may just run out. We have around 250…and to date we have 195 signed up! God is just SO good.

3rd – The donations for food and beverage have flowed in from various sources…THANK YOU TO ALL! The final one was out of no where. ¬†More good or better yet God news…after trying to figure out what to do about getting bagels I asked some friends for suggestions on Monday of this week. Monday night I received a text from a teacher friend. She said we needed to talk. I had NO idea what she wanted…but God did. ūüôā My friend and her husband have a side business called Monkey Town Donuts. Her husband asked her if she thought we would want them to set up at our race. Long story short…they are coming. They are going to take donations for donuts and all the proceeds go to the Hoyt Foundation! How good is our GOD??? So, good He even provided donuts!(They are somewhat healthy donuts too!!)

4th – We needed more race numbers because we will be having more runners than expected…so here’s the story: ¬†Another God thing…I emailed RoadID about ordering an extra 100 bibs…b/c I think we might need them. ūüôā They quoted me .15 a piece…no biggie. $15.00 worth the trouble for sure. I ordered them and they sent me a confirmation email. And…they gave them to us for FREE! ūüôā Woo hoo! God is truly amazing me every step of the way…in the big details and the small ones.

God is working hard to get His message out there. I will be talking to another Chattanooga Times Free Press writer tomorrow or should I say today. ūüôā Since it is 1:54 a.m. on Thursday…. She sent me an email with questions and we will follow-up tomorrow.

All for His glory!!! This was His divine plan. As I have said before, He wanted me to run this with a team…not alone. He wanted to show what FAITH and PERSEVERANCE can do. ¬†He has shown us in a really big way and we aren’t even to the finish line!

The following scripture has even new meaning now:

Hebrews 12

 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

We have a great cloud of witnesses who have been exposed to this journey in many different ways.  Saturday we are charged with finishing well with HIM and for HIM!  We are to fix our eyes on HIM and bring it home to the finish line bringing glory to HIM every step of the way.

In the above photo of the finish line you can see a question on a canopy. ¬†It says “Who do you run for?” I run for God. ¬†Another question, “Who do you live for?” Every step of faith is a step closer to our Lord and Savior. ¬†As another friend has said to me this week…God is faithful and CAN be trusted.

Last but by far least…we officially reached Team Hoyt’s fundraising goal of $5000 this week. ¬†YAY!!! Now, we are working on God’s fundraising goal…how awesome is that???
