This time tomorrow it will be done. The hard work will have paid off. I visualize the celebration at the end with Mike, my number one fan. He will wrap me up in a hug so tight I will feel everyone who has gotten me to this point. Friends, family, new friends and God, first and foremost! Thanks to each of you! As my new said it best with scripture:
Proverbs 27:17…Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
I have had a wonderful trainer sharpening my skills. I have had wonderful friends sharpening my attitude. I have had wonderful family sharpening my emotions. I have a wonderful husband who continues to sharpen my thoughts about finishing this goal and has supported me EVERY step of the way. And finally, I have the Lord sharpening me by continuing to show up every running step of the way.
What more could I ask for? Nothing! Tomorrow, I run for God. My specific goal is to qualify for Boston. But my true desire is to run well the course set before me and glorify Him who has given me the strength and desire.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
To God be the Glory! Running blessed and for Him tomorrow!
Next post will be done by a Boston qualifier!
